Control & Integration
through Crestron:
This
is probably the most exciting subsystem in that it provides an easy
and intuitive interface (touch panels, keypads, and touch screens)
to control virtually all features and functions of the home. Simple
enough for children to use and easy to see, these controls will
be carefully placed in key areas of the residence to allow you to
control lights, music, video, temperature, security, among other
functions.
Control through touch panels is easy to understand once you have
seen the benefits of it.
- Ease
of use.
- Control
from anywhere in the residence.
- Consistent
interface.
- Reduction
of wall clutter
- Powerful
hardware that will adapt with your changing needs.
Touch screens are available in either wired (built-in) or wireless
(hand-held) versions. All subsystems in the home may be interfaced
with the Crestron System and this will complete the intra-net within
the home. As new features are desired, our engineers can add to
and update the appearance of the touch screens to allow for upgrading
of features, equipment, and operation.
Crestron, located in NJ, has been in business for
more than 30 years. They started by supplying control systems for
commercial installations but found that the residential market was
vastly increasing. With wide product range, excellent customer support,
and highly reliable products they have become the premier product
in the integration field.
AVS is Crestron’s largest residential dealer of control systems
and one of the foremost integrators nationwide. Providing clients
with seamlessly designed integration of a home’s sub-systems via
Crestron touch panels is our specialty. We have installed hundreds
of complete integration systems in residences throughout the country.
Our team can provide you with a fully automated system controlled
via touch screens or panels. You will never use the old remote control to change
the channel on the TV play a CD again.
Various
subsystems can be connected to the control system to form an integrated
home. These would typically include a LCS, Pool, Security, HVAC,
as well as others. Gates and cameras would also be able to be interfaced
to the control system and may also be accessible in there own individual
systems interface. Motorized shades, for example, could be accessible
through a home theater touch panel, but when the maid came in to
clean, she could go to the lighting control on the wall to raise
the shades in a familiar manner- without having to turn on the touch
panel. A number of the most common sub-system are as follow:
Once
a control system is in place the house wide controls may be accessed
from inside the home as well as remotely. Clients with multiple
residences demand access. Access is available from phones, computers,
and the Internet. All external control accomplished outside of the
residence is secure via use of double firewall protection.
The same interface at all residences gives you an easy way to control
the devices with consistent look and feel. Once you know how to
use the system in one residence, no thought will be required to
use it in the other residences.
Scheduling software can be incorporated to allow devices to be automated
on a time schedule.
House wide environmental control can easily be managed with the
use of touch panels inside of the residence. The home you will design
will already have smart systems in the specifications, so it makes
logical sense to integrate them all for ease of use. Many manufacturers
have products available right now that will integrate with various
control systems. Contact Audio Video Systems early in the process
so we may assist you in the design and installation of your dream
system. |
